1. Getting started
Sign in
- Open https://catalog.mysolarhome.net.
- Type your Email and Password, then press Log in.
- Forgot the password? Type your email in the Email box first, then press Forgot password?. Open the link in the mail and choose a new password (8 characters or more).
- To change the password later: click your name (top right) > Change password.
- To leave: your name > Sign out.
The Apps screen
After signing in you see the Apps screen with five tiles. Click a tile to open that module. The round Apps button in the top bar always brings you back. You only see the modules your role allows (see chapter 8).
| Tile | Use it when you want to... |
|---|---|
| Price List & Products | see, add, change or import products and prices |
| Product Kits | make a bundle of products with one price |
| Customer CRM | keep customers and leads, see what was sent to whom |
| Sales Distribution | create the PDF / Excel price list or quotation to send |
| Document Designer | design how those documents look |
Your name menu
Click your name (top right). The menu has User manual, Change password and Sign out. Admins also see Backup & restore, Team & access and Activity log.
Saving
Everything saves by itself a moment after you change it. If a red or amber bar appears at the top, read it: it says what to do (for example Retry now or Load latest). If it says "someone else changed this", press Load latest and make your change again.
Undo
The two arrows in the top bar undo and redo your last changes.
2. Price List & Products
This is the master list of all products with codes, brands, prices and pictures.
Find products
- Use the search box at the top.
- Use the filters and group by (for example Category or Brand).
- Change the view with the view buttons at the top right of the list: table, cards, board and more.
- The amber chip "N products without a picture" shows what is missing. Click it to show those products, click again to show all.
Add a product
- Click the + button (tooltip "New product").
- On the General tab, the first field is the Cover photo (see below). Then fill Reference, Internal SKU (required, must be unique) and Product Name (required).
- Also set Nick name (a short name for documents; empty means the full name is used), Make / Brand, Category, Sub-category, HSN code, Unit of Measure and MOQ.
- Prices are on the Pricing tab: List / sales price, Standard discount, GST rate and MRP. Purchase price, freight, duty and margin show only to Admin and Purchasing Manager.
- Short text for the PDF cards is in Card & QR text: Short description, Variant line, MOQ text, Rate text.
- Press Save (top right of the form).
Warning: on the Pricing tab the Target margin % slider recalculates the list price. Do not touch it unless you want that.
Cover photo and more pictures
- The Cover photo is the first field of the General tab. Press Upload, or paste a web address. Remove takes it away.
- It is the picture used on cards and in documents. Pictures are shrunk automatically and saved with a small copy for documents, so files stay light.
- More pictures and files: the Media & docs tab (Gallery, click the + square).
Change one value quickly
In the list, double-click the cell, type, and press Enter (Esc cancels). This works for text, number and price cells (for example Nick name, Product Name, Sales price) and for drop-downs and Yes/No cells. A single click opens the product after a short pause.
- The Quick edit fields button above the list lets you choose which columns can be edited this way. Switching a column off stops the editing of that column only; the column stays visible.
- The sliders button at the right end of the column headers adds or hides columns. It stays in place when you scroll the columns sideways.
Margin
The margin in rupees and in percent show only to Admin and Purchasing Manager (and the kit totals). They never appear in customer documents.
Duplicate, archive, delete
Open the product, click the three dots (top right): Duplicate, Archive, Delete. Archived products stay in the list but never go into documents. Only Admin can delete a product. Print full dossier in the same menu is an internal sheet with purchase price and margin: do not send it to a customer.
Import products from Excel
Use this for big changes (new prices, many new products). Only Admin and Purchasing Manager can import products.
- Click the upload arrow in the top bar (tooltip "Import from CSV or Excel"). Tab: Spreadsheet (CSV / Excel).
- Not sure about the columns? Click Download a blank template and fill it in.
- Drop your file in the box. Each of your columns is matched to a field. A green sure or amber check tag shows how sure the match is; change a match with the drop-down, or choose skip this column.
- The Dry run appears. Nothing is saved yet. You see four counts:
| Count | Meaning |
|---|---|
| new | The SKU is not in the app: a new product will be added. |
| updated | The SKU exists and at least one value is different: those values will change. |
| unchanged | The SKU exists and nothing is different: nothing happens. |
| rejected | The row has a problem (for example a missing SKU or name, a bad number, a SKU used twice). It is not imported. The table Rejected rows says why. |
- If the box Values that are not in your lists yet appears, the file has new categories or brands. Add these new values to the lists is ticked for you.
- Empty cells in your file never erase existing data.
- When satisfied press the blue button (for example Import 12 new + 40 updated).
Tip: make a backup first (chapter 7) before a big import.
Pictures by SKU
- Name each picture after the product SKU:
MSPL40484.jpg. A second picture:MSPL40484_2.jpg. - Open the same Import dialog and click the tab Pictures by SKU.
- Drop up to 300 pictures at a time. A table shows each file, the product it matches, and the result.
- Press Attach N picture(s). If some fail press Try the N failed again.
- Loading the same file name again replaces that picture.
Hide categories from documents
Some categories are not for customers (freight, bank services, travel...). Click the Data tools icon in the top bar > Categories in documents and switch a category off. Its products stay in the Price List.
3. Product Kits
A kit is a ready-made bundle of products with its own price and cover picture.
- Open Product Kits, click +. Give a Kit Name. On General set the Kit Group and the Cover image (Upload, a web address, or Remove). This picture is the kit's picture on the card and in documents.
- Open the Kit items tab. Press Copy from Price List (pick products and quantities) or Blank item.
- Each line is a copy: changing it changes only this kit, never the Price List. Each line has Qty, Unit rate, Disc % and Amount.
- The upload arrow on a line (Push to Price List) sends the item to the Price List, as a new product or over the one it was copied from.
- Totals: Items total, Kit discount %, Kit price, GST, Total incl. GST. The margin amount and percentage are shown only to roles with cost rights.
- Tab Offered to: click the customers this kit was offered to; each customer then sees it under Kits offered.
- Kits without a cover are listed by the filter No cover image.
4. Customer CRM
- Open Customer CRM, click +. Only Company Name is required. Also: Contact Person, Email, Phone (7 to 15 digits), Address, City, State, GST / Tax ID, Credit Days.
- Customer Tier (Retail, Wholesale, Enterprise) sets the automatic discount in customer-stamped documents. Pipeline Stage: Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Customer.
- Import many customers from Excel the same way as products. A match is by GST number, or company plus phone.
- Open a customer, tab Trail: Documents sent shows every price list or quotation made for that customer, with date, design and who made it.
- In the three-dot menu: Chat on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp to the customer's phone.
5. Sales Distribution: make a document
Open Sales Distribution. The preview is on the left, the five steps are on the right. The preview always goes back to the front page when you change the design or the items.
- Design template: choose a design from the drop-down (made in the Document Designer). Tick what you want: Front, Index, Back, QR, Slabs.
- Stamping mode:
- Generic price list: no customer name. Use it for a general price list.
- Customer stamped: choose the customer (From CRM) or type one (On the fly). The customer's tier discount is added to the product discount.
- Items in this document: All items, By category or Pick items. Choose Include: Products, Kits or Products + kits.
- WhatsApp: switch it on, type the number (country code and digits, for example 917859956756) and the message the customer starts with. The button is printed only next to the products, never on the first or last page. The link Button style, places and more links opens more settings.
- Export: PDF, Excel, Word or CSV. For PDF the browser's print window opens: set the destination to Save as PDF, then Save.
The front page says Prepared by and your name. The tab Issued lists every document made: number, customer, design, items, format, Generated by and when.
The "Ready to send?" panel
Before the file is made, the app checks every item. If some have no picture, no price (they print "Call for Rates") or no short description, a panel lists the counts. Fix list opens the product list showing exactly those items. Continue anyway makes the file as it is. Cancel goes back.
Before sending to a customer
Use a design without cost columns. Margin and cost are never printed in customer documents. Design 8 · Technical Procurement Ledger is internal: never send it to a customer. The safest way is a Sales Manager or Catalog Designer login, or Customer stamped mode (cost columns are then always left out).
6. Document Designer
The Document Designer decides how your documents look. Open it from the Apps screen. The preview on the left updates live; the steps are on the right. Press Save (top bar) to keep your design as a reusable template. Thirteen designs are built in; choose one in step 1 and change it, or start a New one.
| Step | What you set there |
|---|---|
| 1 Source | Pick a ready design, New, Delete; the design name; which products it covers (all, a category, or picked ones). |
| 2 Layout | Layout style, cards per row (for example 6 or 9 per page), row density, the Typography scale, body options (group by category, QR per product, specs, slabs, watermark). |
| 3 Style | The Font gallery, Text size, colour theme, photo framing, field toggles and order. |
| 4 Buttons | The link buttons printed next to products: WhatsApp, website, phone call, e-mail or your own link. |
| 5 Pages | Front cover, index page, marketing pages and back cover: titles, text, terms, payment details, contact, signatory. Tick a box to switch a page on or off. |
| 6 Brand | Company profile, logos (you can change the logo), and the header and footer builder (note, size, colour, alignment, page numbers). |
| 7 Cards | Only for the card designs: header, section headings, the product card, banners and the Closing page. |
Style: font and text size
- Font: click a font in the gallery to use it for the whole document. It is embedded in the PDF. To use your own, press Add your own font (TTF, OTF or WOFF2, up to 500 KB). A small × removes an added font.
- Text size: the slider (70% to 160%), A−, A+ (5% each) and 100% make all text in the document smaller or larger. Single texts (cover, header and footer, cards) have their own sizes in the Pages, Brand and Cards steps.
Buttons
This step manages every link button of the document.
- WhatsApp chat button: own look in this template: tick it to set this design's button text, colour, text colour, shape (solid, outline, round), size and icon. The number and message are set in Sales Distribution step 4.
- Add more buttons with + WhatsApp message, + Website, + Phone call, + E-mail and + Any web link (your own address). Each button has its own text, colour, shape and size, a switch to show or hide it, and a Remove button.
- Drag the grip (or use the arrows) to change their order.
- Buttons are printed only next to the products. A cover or the closing page never has one. Table layouts show one Chat link column; the buttons appear on the card layouts.
Other design features
- Ribbon (the corner badge: Hot Product, Popular, New, Best Seller, Offer, Sale, Limited Stock, Combo Deal, Top Rated, Premium, Pre-Order or your own text and colour): set per product or kit in the field Ribbon. Switch it off for a design with Corner ribbon (Cards step).
- QR code: tick QR per product (Layout step). The QR can carry a short product text. One product's QR sheet: open it and press QR sheet.
- Drag and drop: lists of fields, banners and buttons can be reordered by dragging.
7. Backup and safety (Admin)
Backup now
Your name > Backup & restore > 1 · Back up everything now > Download a backup file. Keep the file safe: it contains cost prices.
Restore
- Backup & restore > 2 · Restore from a backup file > Choose a backup file….
- The screen shows what is in the file and what is there now.
- Type RESTORE and press Restore. Your current data is first downloaded as a safety copy.
- Restore replaces products, customers, kits, templates, documents and settings. It does not touch logins or the team.
Activity log
Your name > Activity log. It shows who did what and when: edits (old value to new value), imports, documents made, backups and restores, team changes, sign-ins. Filter by Person, Type, From / To dates, or search a record code such as PRD-012. Export CSV saves the filtered entries. Nobody can edit or delete an entry.
Remove demo data
Data tools > Remove demo data lists the sample kits and unused sample categories. Press Download a backup now first, then Remove N items. To undo, restore that backup.
Fill missing brands
Data tools > Fill missing brands opens the products with no brand. Search a name (for example Polycab), click Select all N matching, then Mass edit, type the brand and press Apply.
8. Team and roles (Admin)
Click your name > Team & access. Change a person's Role, or untick Active (they can no longer sign in), then press Save. The key icon e-mails that person a password-reset link. To add a person, first create their login in Supabase (your developer does this), then type the same Email, a Name and a Role and press Add. There must always be one active Admin.
| Admin | Sales Manager | Purchasing Manager | Catalog Designer | Viewer | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| See cost prices and margin | Yes | No | Yes | No | No |
| Products: see / print / export | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | See, print |

Cost privacy is enforced by the database too: cost numbers are never sent to a role that may not see them.
9. Questions and problems
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| A new version does not show | Press Ctrl + F5 once. |
| A red or amber bar at the top | Read it. Retry now tries again; Load latest brings the newest data when someone else changed the same record. |
| I cannot see a module or a button | Your role does not allow it (chapter 8). Ask an Admin. |
| A price shows Call for Rates | The product has no price yet. Add it in the Pricing tab or import an Excel file. |
| A product has no picture | Add a Cover photo, or use Pictures by SKU (chapter 2). |
| The PDF does not open as a file | In the print window set the destination to Save as PDF. |
| I changed something by mistake | Use the undo arrow, or ask an Admin to check the Activity log and restore a backup. |
For anything else, ask your administrator. Every change is recorded with the person's name.
